In-patient Facilities

In-patient is commonly used as an adjective to describe treatment that requires a patient to be admitted to a hospital or other care facility for at least one night. In-patient is used in contrast with the term outpatient, which describes treatment that does not require a patient to stay overnight.

Types of in-patient facilities include acute-care hospitals, rehabilitation centers, psychiatric hospitals, addiction treatment centers and nursing homes. Most common are acute care hospitals, which provide immediate to short-term care for patients with life-threatening or potentially life-threatening conditions.

In-patient treatment include Room rent, ICU charges, Operation theatre charges, Doctor fees, nursing charges, anesthesia, and more.
